  • I have been an architect for four years. I started this job back in 2009.
  • Why did you decide to become an architect?
  • I decided to become an architect because of the following reasons, first my father was an architect and used to advice me to follow the same root. I wanted to become successful just as my father who is still an architect. From childhood I dreamed and liked to become an architect.

  • I attended San Francisco State University for my Bachelors degree. I attended the university because it offers courses in architecture and produces professionals.

  • It takes four years of study. The course involves architecture units, public relations and social sciences units.
  • What did you do in college to help you get where you are today?
  • In college I used to do all assignments and exams as required by the lecture. I used to attend all class and read hard to pass the exams.
  • What skills do you need to become a successful architect?
  • In order to become a successful architect you need to have good drawing skills. You also need to have public relationship skills because you have to handle customers with respect.
  • What is the job qualifications needed to become an architect?
  • To become an architect you need to have good interpersonal skills, and a college diploma or degree in architecture.
  • What was your first job in the field of architecture, and what experience and knowledge did you gain from the job?
  • The first job was designing a private residential house. In doing it I gained experience in designing and drawing houses.
  • What is the hardest part about your job and why?
  • Planning is the hardest part of my job. This is because it involves measurements and they should be accurate.
  • What do you most enjoy about your job and why?
  • I like my job because after working for customers they give out feedback. This helps in improvement or encouragement.

  • 30 to 40 hours.

  • Yes.
