In my life, one of the greatest areas that I am off courses is following my friend’s wishes. Most of the times are those when I find myself doing against what they wished I had done. For instance, most of my friends take alcohol, which I do not take. This makes me different from them and thus I do not fully fit into their category. The self-defeating pattern that may have led me to avoid their behavior is my consciousness, which prohibits me from taking alcohol. I often hate how people behave after they have taken alcohol. I would not choose any different thoughts that would make me start drinking alcohol since I have now developed a hatred for taking alcohol. The self-defeating emotion that may have led me to avoiding this habit is the amount of pity and regret that I see people having once they have taken alcohol. I get concerned a lot when I see people causing road accidents that lead to lose of lives and major damages to themselves. I would not choose any different emotions that would make me start drinking alcohol such as admiration of the alcohol drinkers since they have always made me develop internal hatred. The self-defeating behavior that may have led me to avoid their behavior is my realization of the dangers of taking too much alcohol prohibits me from taking alcohol. I would not encourage any behavior that would lead me to taking alcohol such as making more friends with alcohol drinkers who encourage me to join their company. I believe that alcohol is not the right cure of stress and depression, as many people tend to use it to relieve themselves. I would not encourage any belief that would lead me to drinking alcohol as my friends. I have developed and learned the need for more self-belief and always aim at doing the right thing.
My success rules in college include the following, keep your mind open and explore other areas, motivate yourself on a daily basis to learn that day’s topics, prepare before every class and debrief after every class, motivate yourself for each course, each semester, attend class regularly, and strive to attend every single class. My thoughts and feelings about my personal success strategy is that they will help me grow and develop in class as well as in extra curriculum activities. The most important rule in my college is to always keep focused and function in other extracurricular activities such as participating in school games.
