They initiated civil right movement, which saw African American protest racial segregation. As Ching (2002), continues to explain, this movement challenged the existence of prejudice based on race, sex, religion, or national origin (p. 5). They criticized American government for treating African America as second class citizens.
Generally I can argue that Martin Luther King Jr. together with Southern Christian leadership Council (SCLC) and Margaret Sanger have impacted the society by bringing to end segregation, pushing for civil-rights for African Americans and other minorities. Following their movement, black and White people came together, and since then they do things as one.
