To begin with, we have the Annunciator . This is a device that gives a visual indication as to which of a number of electric circuits has operated. For instance, an indicator in a hotel showing in which room a bell has been rung.
In one common alarm sequence, the light in a window will flash and a bell or horn will sound to attract the operator's attention when the alarm condition is detected. The operator can silence the alarm with a button, and the window will remain lit as long as the process is in the alarm state. When the alarm clears (process condition returns to normal), the lamps in the window go out.

Intruder/Burglar Deterrents
As well as acting as a deterrent, burglar alarms help to catch intruders and scare them away, providing you with peace of mind.
Many burglar alarms use a circuit break system, for example, switches will be placed either side of a window which create a circuit when closed. If an intruder breaks this connection by forcing the window open, this sends a signal to the control box, setting off the alarm.
When switched on the device becomes illuminated and this illumination changes intensity at quick random intervals, simulating the light flickering effect of a TV. The device itself consumes very little power and is very safe

The Motion detector is also another product used for private security purposes. They are similar in design to tilt switches. The sensor will be in one condition (open or closed) at rest. When it is subjected to motion it will continually change state as long as it remains in motion. This product can be used in anti-theft devices or in man-down alarms to detect non-motion and others.
